Full-page, full-color illustrations make this book a welcome addition to any unit on the ocean or fish. (The artwork is no where more vivid than on the final page where the words “The End” appear in an open-mouth view of a shark, appearing to lunge at the reader.) Pallotta has published several science books in the alphabet format for the elementary grades, including ones on dinosaurs, wildflowers, reptiles, frogs and mammals.
