Freda loves playing pretend especially pretending she is the teacher while her friends and stuffed animals are her students. However, when her friends Percy and Emma join her the play changes. When Freda doesnt use polite words like please, thank you and youre welcome, her friends are reluctant to be bossed around. ||In the end, Freda realizes its more fun to be polite and get to play with everyone. At the end of the book, parents have a guide to explain the appropriate use of words like please, thank you and youre welcome. There is also a short list of discussion questions for parents and children to identify why manners are so important.
Freda Says Pleaseis a social skills book in Stuart J. Murphys I See I Learn series. The books short length, simple subject matter and verbiage make it appropriate for children between the ages of two and five.
